TECHNICAL WRITING
The Technical Writing concentration prepares students to be effective communicators in the science and technology environments. Students will learn to research, edit, design, and create documentation that accompanies hardware, software, and service oriented products.

- Scientific Grant Writer
- Technical Publicist
- Web Content Writer
- Technical Marketing Content Creation
Expected outcomes for graduates with this concentration include:
- A demonstrated ability to write and edit at a professional level.
- The ability to select and use appropriate tools and technologies to develop effective communication solutions.
- A demonstrated competence in exact and effective communication of technical information in several subject areas.
- An understanding of the role, importance, and methods of conducting research in technical communication.
- A full working knowledge of the range of available print and non-print media for technical communications.
- A working knowledge of word processing, desktop publishing, teleconferencing, computer telephony, E-mail, and computer security.
- An awareness of professional organizations and being a participating member of at least one such organization.
At NDNU:
- Courses are offered in the evening, and/or on weekends.
- Computer Science Advisory Council provides connections with Bay Area companies.
- Internship opportunities are available to all students.
